ADAPTIVE SURF SCHOOL: Shaka Surf Retreat has also taken the time to construct according to ADA guidelines for handicap accessibility. Shaka also participates in non-profit work with children with autism, cancer, and disabilities for week long camps through out the year.

Our boutique hotel is a quick 3 minute walk to one of the largest and most beautiful beaches in our region. The beach is very quiet, secluded, and has an amazing sand bar beach break which is great for all levels of surfing. The break offers year round warm water and excellent waves.

Located on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica, Shaka Surf Retreat is on the southern tip of the Nicoya Peninsula in a small village named Playa Hermosa. Playa Hermosa is just north of Santa Teresa and south of Manzanillo. It is a residential living community surrounded by endless beaches and tropical rainforests; you will enjoy breathtaking views of the ocean, landscape, and local wildlife.
